Insurance Roof Repair With the Claim Side Handled
Insurance roof repair from Hearth Roofing handles the claim and the roof. I inspect storm, wind and hail damage for free and photograph it all for your claim. Then I meet your adjuster and do the insurance-approved repair on single-family, two-family and multi-family homes. My crew handles storm repairs outside a claim too.
Four steps I run on every claim
Each insurance roof repair I take on follows this order.
-
Step 1
Damage inspection
I check the roof and attic, and if water's coming in tonight, I tarp it that visit.
-
Step 2
Photo report
Every damaged area gets photographed, flashing included, in one report you send with the claim.
-
Step 3
Adjuster meeting
I meet the adjuster on the roof and point out what they need to see.
-
Step 4
Approved repair
My crew builds to the approved scope, and you get photos of the finished work.
What insurance tends to pay for, and what it won't
Policies differ and your adjuster decides, but this is the usual pattern.
Swipe to see all four columns
| Damage | Usually covered | Usually not covered | What I document |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wind-lifted or missing shingles | Storm-caused loss | Shingles already loose | Bare spots, creased tabs, yard debris |
| Hail bruising and cracked surfaces | Clear impact marks | Cosmetic dents, some policies | Chalked hits that show what hail did to the roof |
| Wind-torn or bent flashing | Storm-torn metal | Rusted-through flashing | Close-ups of each joint for the flashing repair |
| Interior water from a sudden storm leak | Often, with the roof claim | Mold left untreated | Ceiling stains, dated photos |
| Wear, age and long-term slow leaks | No | Yes, excluded nearly everywhere | Roof age, noted honestly |
Before the adjuster comes: what to photograph and keep
Your part of the claim is proof, and proof fades. Stains dry and yards get raked, so record it all first.
- Interior stains and drips, with the date on each photo
- Before cleanup, shoot debris, fallen limbs and shingles in the yard
- Receipts for emergency tarping or water cleanup, kept together
- The storm's date and time. A weather app screenshot works.

Questions about working a claim with me
No, but I'd get one so your claim describes the real damage.
Yes, I'll be on the roof with them. Payment decisions stay between you and your insurer.
Ask for a supplement. I'll send photos of whatever the first estimate missed.
Usually, yes. Insurers expect you to stop further damage, so keep my invoice.
