Commercial Roof Installation Contractor in Queens, NY

Commercial roof installation contractor work is what Hearth Roofing does when a Queens building needs a new flat or low-slope roof. My crew tears off the old system, repairs the deck and installs TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen or built-up roofing, then handles final inspection and cleanup.

The right membrane

Matching the membrane to your building

I pick the system that fits the building, not the easiest sale. When it suits the roof better, I'll also price spray foam as the commercial alternative.

System Installed Best at Suits
TPO Heat-welded seams Energy-efficient reflectivity Warehouses, industrial
EPDM Fully adhered or mechanically fastened Long track record Offices, retail stores
PVC Heat-welded seams Grease and chemicals Restaurants
Modified bitumen Torch or cold-applied Foot traffic Apartments, mixed-use
Built-up Layered plies and asphalt Heavy use Schools, churches

Flat roofs on houses and smaller buildings are a separate, lighter job.

The install, step by step

Six steps on every commercial install

Same order on every building, from bare deck to the photos your building manager gets at the end.

  1. Tear-off

Everything comes off down to the roof deck.

  2. Deck repair

Repairs wherever wood is soft or steel has rusted.

  3. Tapered insulation

Pitched so water runs to the roof drains.

  4. Membrane installation

Adhered or fastened, seams heat-welded or sealed.

  5. Our specialty

    Flashing

At parapet walls, rooftop units, drains and penetrations, the step I specialize in.

When the roof still has years left, commercial flashing repair on the existing roof may be enough.

  6. Final inspection & cleanup

With photos sent to your building manager.

Your building stays open

Your tenants stay open while we work

Before tear-off, your building manager and I agree on a project schedule. We work section by section, and every section opened is watertight before the crew leaves at night.

Rooftop units get disconnected and reset with your HVAC contractor. Debris comes down away from entrances and storefronts, so tenants barely notice us.

  • Schedule agreed first
  • Section by section
  • HVAC units reset
  • Entrances kept clear
